We get paid commissions when readers click certain links on this site and then request information or open an account. Here is exactly how that works.
Our Affiliate Relationship
Gold IRA Checklist is an affiliate of Augusta Precious Metals, a precious metals company that offers gold and silver IRAs. When you click a button or link that leads to its website (for example, "Click Here" buttons and "Free Gold & Silver IRA Info Kit" boxes) and then request its information kit or become a customer, we may be paid.
Under our agreement, we can earn:
- a fixed fee when a reader becomes a qualified lead (generally someone with an eligible retirement account of at least $50,000); and
- a percentage of the value of certain products a referred customer buys, with higher commissions on premium coins than on standard bullion.
Because we can earn more when a referred customer buys premium coins, we want to be upfront about that conflict of interest. It's one reason we consistently tell readers to ask for the markup on every product in writing and to consider common bullion first.
What Doesn't Change
- You pay nothing extra for using our links.
- Our explanations of IRS rules, enforcement cases, fees and risks are the same regardless of any commission.
- We don't publish fake reviews, testimonials or guaranteed-return claims.
- We encourage you to compare several companies, including ones we don't work with. Our comparison and alternatives pages link to other companies without any payment to us.
Affiliate Links
Affiliate links on this site are marked as sponsored in the code, open in a new tab and take you to the partner's own website, where its terms and privacy policy apply. Our pages that contain affiliate links also say so near the top of the page.
Not Advice
We are an independent educational publication, not an investment adviser, broker or tax professional. Nothing here is personalized advice. See About us for our editorial standards.
